Diagnosing & Treating Internal Conditions
A veterinary internal medicine specialist is trained in diagnosing and treating diseases of the immune, cardiovascular, pulmonary, urinary, gastrointestinal, and endocrine systems in a safe, compassionate, and effective manner.
If your pet has an illness that cannot be diagnosed or treated by one of our emergency veterinarians, we will contact our on-call board-certified internal medicine specialists, who have extensive experience and training in internal medicine.
At Emergency Pet Clinic of Longmont, we will always take into account your pet's medical history and risk factors when developing their treatment plan. We will sit down with you and your pet's regular veterinarian to discuss your pet's condition and medical needs.
Dedicated Surgical Care
Depending on the results of internal testing and diagnostics, our veterinarians may recommend surgery for your pet. We perform various procedures for illness and trauma and have access to surgical specialists if needed.
Treating Diseases in Pets
When we bring in an internal medicine specialist, they will promptly complete a thorough physical exam of your pet to determine any necessary diagnostic tests. A comprehensive treatment plan can then be developed to get your pet the care they need right away.
